This prototype reimagines Roald Dahl's George's Marvellous Medicine focuses mainly on the rabbit hole experience before the user jumps inside a virtual world. The problem we had to solve was How can we make a child want to go into VR?
The experience was based on extensive research, and focuses on different pain points raised by children regarding VR Experiences: loneliness, fear, lack of purpose. Therefore we introduced a journey that provides children with a mission that makes the transition smooth, a map which makes the virtual world feel physical, and codes that need a collaborative effort to be solved.
The "rabbit hole" is a letter sent from the virtual world and a map of it, which make the world inside VR feel as if it's real.
